Life

Love does not require 2 people to look at each other, but that they look together in the same direction.





A little girl was trapped in a burning flat. The only way to escape was to jump out of her windows. She lived on the eighth storey.


The father was standing on the ground floor. "Jump, my girl, jump. Don't worry. Daddy is here to catch hold of you."


Comfort zone.


Picture yourself as that little girl. Would you have been able to overcome that height barrier, pluck yourself out of your comfort zone and make that jump?


Many times in life we face disappointments, rejections and whatnot. Sometimes we don't have the courage to fight on. Sometimes we play peek-a-boo. We hide, we run. Sometimes we think we lack the strength and the boldness to deal with problems in life.


Maybe we don't have that strength.


I believe God is like that daddy. Waiting for us to take that jump. To catch hold of us. Into His embrace, experiencing His love, security and warmth.
