The Week

Several events happened over the week.

Talk about news first. I remembered the topic we spoke about when Farah & CW was with us. But i think this story is undermining minorities. It speaks volume about the country.

In any case, been really happy to be able to meet up with a couple bunch of friends. But much regret was the short time spent at Alley with Venka, with the absence of BW and YY.

Then there were news concerning about the company, which many had raised but the management had not spoken yet. This led me to think how people hate making changes. But at the same time, I wish I could also be given an opportunity to try B@rcl@ys.

But the best thing that had happened was Dad discharging from the hospital.

Dad did another ballooning, and had to stay for a night only. Was glad the operation turned out fine.

It was really nice to have people sending hampers, though my favourite was from the Minister.

But I do hope that would be the last time people have to send their well wishes.

The hospital provided great services. Knowing me and Dad would not be able to carry all these hampers to the car, a porter was engaged. His sincere smile and actions left a deep impression. And yes, he declined the tip by Dad.

Sale

The bell rang at 4.

Everyone evacuated from the building and gathered outside the train station.

I was tasked to be the fire warden for my department and I gladly took that role. The strength was 38, but everyone was too occupied with work, only 6 of us went for the drill.

The initial FW on the arm band just happens to coincide with my name. Not custom-made for me. Yet people deemed I fitted that role. Geez.

School was a bore, which I hated. 'Cus it made me missed my 9pm show!

The show was terrific k, and it has reached the highlight. Even Jasmine forgo her Friday nightout just for the show.

The other day, I was ta-paoing food and everyone was glued to the TV set. Lol.

The only saving grace about school on a Saturday is breakfast.

This, however, would be my last BK breakfast at Tiong Bahru. Yey! My last block lecture is over!

In any case, my presentation didn't go as planned. I mispronounced too many words too many times, and it ended in 4 minutes, instead of the stipulated 5mins. Though I am glad everything is over, this presentation constitute 30%. Damn heart pain. No more distinction. =(

To many, the GSS has just started.

Everywhere is just too crowded on a HOT Saturday.

For me, it has just ended.

Tardy Thursday

This is what happens when you want to keep your cool.

Or simply too bored.

And this is what happens...

when you're spotted looking silly. =)

Yet another fattening day with chocolates, sweets, KFC and mango sago.

In the drawer...

lies a responsibility.

More about it tomorrow.

So Sweet!!!

Am glad the office like the chocolates I had bought. I myself love the brazil nuts. The chocolate is so thick and creamy!

Jasmine is back this week from the States, after disappearing for a month.

She brought along so many chocolates and within an hour, I eaten the malt chocolate, kit kat and Hershey's. Lovely!

Then we had Wonka's!

And this gotta be one of my favourites. But it's only 60% dark chocolate. I want it even more bitter!!!

But can't afford Godiva. =( So expensive.

These balls are gums. Can get so tiring chewing and chewing. And it does get obscene when you put them in your mouth cus the balls are so big.

Man, I love all of these!

Sun Me!

The next time you forget to bring your mobile phone, don't fret.

There's always a friendly payphone near you.

Simply enter an elevator, enter the phone number and press the Dial number on the top left button of the panel.

Lol.

Lunch was with Gerrie and Dan. They then accompanied me to Viv0's Cocoa Tree.

There, we found our fantasy chocolate packaged into Cinderalla. She had her fingers pointing out, and it made us look we were making some pledge.

But Dan and I decided to make the packaging a little more useful.

Cocoa Tree has too many chocolates to choose! And everything looks so good but they can be quite expensive. Gerrie found a rack of Cadbury bars, that are not available in supermarts. She recommended a few, which she had them in Australia.

Altogether we got 4 bars, 2 of which are for my colleagues. I got for them Diary Milk with Brzail nuts and Diary Milk with Crunchie, which are slabs of chocolate with golden Honeycomb.

The picture below is taken randomly.

The child looked so happy and the father seemed so eager and proud of the child. But it does get funny watching him get his perfect stance to take one photo.

Photography is, sometimes, no longer an evidence for anything.

Presentation would be held this coming Saturday. Am glad Nishah is covering my duty for me. =)

Blackathy Sat Down

I had only 5 hours of sleep last night. Had a headache and was feeling so tired, but felt so disturbed I couldn't sleep. Been trying to contact KB the entire day but his line went dead. So I decided to go to the garage alone. But the prices quoted were exorbitant, and decided to replace Blackathy's springs at a later date.

Met Gerrie at Commonwealth. Out of the blues, she had craving for pizza so we went to JP. I had wanted to catch Next, but watching a picture during the weekends can get quite costly.

We did a little shopping in JP. Gerrie was torn between buying 2 Tag Heuer models and a pair of diamond earrings.

She told me girls see diamonds tend to look at them and smile. So I thought she would prefer the Tag since it tells time and has diamonds. But she's more inclined towards that pair of earrings.

But no matter how big the carat, the hair would cover the earrings mah! And besides, get too big, people think they are just rip offs from Bugis Street.

Lol.

After sometime, KB called me and we met up at JP carpark. He had finished his lunch and wanted to bring me to one of the garages.

And there you go, the only motion video of Blackathy with lowered springs.

Initially, I was afraid the shock absorbers are damaged, which means having to spend more on the replacement. So glad it wasn't that case. Am happy to return to stock springs.

It gets weird though, seeing Blackathy so 'tall'. But at least it's better than having to damage the kits further. The kits are badly damaged and scratched. Sigh, now still deciding to go ahead with the paint job.

Took that time to catch up with KB. Suddenly remembered the time I spent at garages, either with him or Gary.

S$40 was spent to put things right.

Gerrie and I went home and I showed her my masterpiece.

The English Triffles.

Fine, disgusting triffles. Gerrie kept laughing and didn't want to eat it.

But that didn't stop us from growing an appetite for Rice Table!

I made reservation on Tuesday, wanting to bring the family to try.

Once we sat, plates of food were then placed on the table.

Lots of them.

This picture doesn't do much justice.

Look at the one below!

The food was good and glad everyone enjoyed it.

The family went shopping. Mom was so hyper during this shopping trip, she was absent most of the time, while Dad was busy choosing presents for the nieces.

Am so tired.

Swedish Are Gorgeous!

I was going through Style to see the latest fashion, and I realised not only is Sweden beautiful, but the people too!

Let's Go French!

Let's go English first. After all, I'm working in an English environment.

This month they gave away this away!

I overheard someone saying it can be an alternative to bra paddings. Super diaoz, when it's meant for the eyes. Should use it during meetings! Lol.

Lunch was with my usual gang, with additional members from the Call Centre, Xalyn and Denise. Been liaising over the phone for the past couple months, but first time meeting them.

After work, we were compelled to go for a meeting about the launch of a new enquiry system.

During the meeting, I was playing with Asri's Breitling.

Today, someone got me angry. I was asking 2 other ladies about an enquiry. She overheard it and told me off, saying I should check the database. When it wasn't there. She then realised that information wasn't available but didn't apologise. Later still got the cheek to ask me how to find out the status of an application.

She should be glad I was still polite to her. When I could have Zidane head butt her.

Today, a local b@nk called twice. About the interview of a private banker. Go local? Probably not.

Alright... let's go Pink Panther now. Boujour.

I always love Italian. They have Valentino and the sexy Alfa Romeo and Lamborghinis. But there's something about French as well. Passionate and great lovers, they say.

After all, they have Louis Vuitton. Lol.

Asri had asked us out for dinner after work. The meeting had dragged on and we couldn't wait to rush off to the carpark. And there it was... his 307CC.

If not for the slow mo of his top, it would be pure adrenaline watching it transform into a topless car.

The seat was super comfy and its Blaupunkt was absolutely smoothing.

Using Porsche Tiptronic gearbox, the ride is smooth and quiet. The car was designed to meet every comfort of the driver and the passengers. The disadvantage is, although it is 2l, the body is heavy and directly affect petrol consumption.

This gadget Asri has act not only as a GPS system, it is able to play videos, games and music. The sound system is loud and clear. Super cool.

This car screams for attention and is a stunning beauty. But the price tag doesn't come cheap. After a deposit of S$30k, the monthly installment is over a grand, excluding petrol and parking fees.

The French are expensive keep.

We went to this French stall. It wasn't what I was expecting. It may not have the grandeur but the prices made up for it. The place isn't exactly big but it was good enough for the 4 of us to settle at a corner.

Placing orders was a breeze. Set meals start from S$14++.

For starters, I had French onion soup. It was not too bad, a little oily.

We had fries for appetizer. Was quite a small serving though.

Asri and I had 2 small pieces of chicken leg and potato each, while the ladies had dory fishes.

And we had deserts.

Although we spent much time in office together, tonight's talking was without distrction. There were no phone calls to answer, cases to rush, documents to print and scan... it was just 4 of us and a Peugeot.

Haven't seen Gerrie for the longest time. Miss her so much. The only thing on my mind now is to french kiss her.

Bonne Nuit.

No wait. I prefer English. I'm going to make an English desert for Gerrie now.

Good night and have a great weekend ahead.
