2nd Last Day

The fact I'm leaving hit me so hard today.

Jasmine and I had been talking about it for the longest time and today was my 2nd last day!

I've been yearning to start this new chapter for the longest time and it's finally happening. But I needa stop being a worry wart and look forward to my next move.

The ex-Call Support gave another excuse to do another gossiping cum dinner session.

Attendance checklist:

This photo is just one function that can be found in the dopod810. Yes, I finally got my new phone after 'disturbing' Ben for the looooooooooongest time.

There's Mala and Eveline, who happened to be leaving on the same day as me.

Jasmine.

MC, Roz and Liz.

And Asri, who happened to come really late.

Excellent companionship.

Sightings

This morning, while on the way to work, I was on the escalator. I looked up and in front of me was a lady.

I saw something that I shouldn't have seen.

It's unsightly and unglam.

There was a price tag sticker underneath her heels.

Why would anyone want to show how much they got their shoes for?

Adeline and Yvonne got me a cake and teh today. I was struggling with two stupid cases, which dawned on me on the capability of the people working there. But I really appreciate the people working around me. They were fussing over me when they knew I had trouble with one particular case.

Gosh, 3 more working days left.

Lunch

This is our pre-ordered lunch organized by the b@nk. Not appetizing at all. Just fried rice with a drumstick. At $4 per pack, it wouldn't be considered worth the price. But the money paid goes to charity. After all, this is just one of our ways to contribute to the needy.

We termed it 'Lunch with a heart'.

I have caught the Chn 8 9pm show and I thought it was super boring. The only saving grace was Felicia Chin in uniform.

But after watching Maggie Q in Naked Weapon, it made Felicia a bore to watch.

You know wad I mean after this video. YouTube even has the uncensored version. *hint hint* Episode 10.

Monica Bellucci is hot as well. =)

My Colleague

Realise most people who play Flight of the Bumble Bee are guys?

This piece can make the girls go crazy.

The clip below is proof.

Below clip is the jazziest version ever heard.

Friday Is No Longer Last Working Day

Today, I received the last gift from the b@nk.

To be precise, the last liveit gift.

Nothing special. Just that the fruits looked really fresh. Plus a booklet which recommends the types of fruits we should be eating.

We also celebrated multi-cultural day, where each ops dept was given a theme. Ours went penerakan. The ladies went crazy over such events, dressing up in their theme's traditional costumes and decorating their workplace.

But there are many of us who were kept busy.

Asri looked as if he's working in some B@tam travel agency. Lol.

Was looking through some funds last night. Chin@ is still doing well, as confirmed by today's report.

But the Chin3se funds are getting too expensive and riskier.

The above report would mean more foreign companies are coming here, but the increase in rental may also chase away some.

But I'm just glad the funds by the next company I'm going to are doing really well.

For now, it's back to work tomorrow.

Everyone is crazy over the beemers.

I saw a 1 series at PS a couple of weeks ago. Super chio.

And I'm now in love with the M-series bodykit.

I was reading through a thread in mycarforum where people criticize cars who are wannabes: lancer-evo, harrier-lexus, installing fake exhausts, putting 'Spirit of Competition' stickers on a Nissan, WRX badge on a 1.6TS and whatnots.

Of course, there were people who jumped to defences into these cars.

The following comments were the best:

Don't care them. It's your car and your hard-earned money. You are welcome to do what you want with it as long as you are happy.

It's just like clothes and fashion. Not everyone of us got good fashion sense or got girlfriends working in fashion who can tell us what colour match what colour, what style match what style.

Sometimes our fashion sense can be damn terok, but who cares? Still clothes, as long as we think we look nice in them can already. Why bother what other people say. So what if i wear Hang Ten and Giordano? And someone else wearing Hugo Boss or Versace they laugh at me so what? Maybe i don't have that kind of money to buy the real deal. Or maybe my colour-combi is just salah. Or maybe i buy fake branded goods. Bo pian right? No money what.

So just like cars. If i want to paste stickers, put many many badge, put bodykit here and there, but if i'm happy, i probably wouldn't care what others think. But if i got low self-esteem, and always scared what people will comment, then i wont do it.

Fyi, my car is stock. My mods to date are Ambi-pur and Car Ionizer. But this is just my opinion.

Just that got some people think they are the 'fashion police' of cars. Go around commenting and laughing at others for their wrong 'fashion sense'.

Yah maybe TP should set up a new branch - the 'Mod Police', or the Zhng Police. Go around fining people for putting sticker when they are not sponsored. Then maybe some people will be happy.

like that very tough leh if only can paste stickers of brand you have in the car...

can paste what? ambipur? 3M? Insulflex? etc etc? hahaha... funny right?

I say... what's wrong? There are many of us out there who can't afford the real stuff.

Especially if it's in good taste, just like the 5-series in the M kits.

But I dun understand why would anyone put a Hyundai badge on a Bentley Continental GT.

More Down-dates

Gwen's 21st birthday party was not the usual smashing or the let's-get-drunk kinda party. Instead, it turned out to be family-oriented. Family, friends and colleagues got together to celebrate, not 1, but 3 birthdays.

The party let us peep into her world. Her house was absolutely stunning and big. Though not as nice, but her second home we went later that night was somehow big too. Everyone just laid back with alcohol and more food.

Back to the office, we said a little farewell.

And that marked our 1st year anniversary with the B@nk.

Life still goes on...

with long hours of training after work.

Though the job scope expanded, but the work load has been more manageable than ever. We were usually kept busy in the morning, but tend to slow down the pace after lunch.

The other day, the ladies were debating which is 'The B@nk'.

But I figured out it depends on whose point of view. As a consumer or a staff.

To me, whoever pays the rent.

Just did my exit interview last evening.

The no. 1 b@nk in the world has just launched a new credit card here. No min. income required, but the credit limit is only $500 and the interest rate is set at 2.8%.

I personally called it the '2-weeks-before-payday' card.

But what do I know? I'm just an Ops. Asst.

Work

Work hasn't been crazy. New guidelines made it crazy.

Jacqueline was really nice enough to take a cab to PS to look for me.

From Paris.

I love my new tie. Wrapped in a beautiful box and it even comes with a booklet.

Was watching 'Trapped' on Channel 5 just now. Was really exciting. Go rent it or try searching it from YouTube.

Night.

Moo~

Jasmine has been applying this cream.

The back of the tube says it's used to moisturize cows. How Mooo-ed-ly dumb dumb can it get?

Dunno if I have anymore energy to continue studying.

Shocking

What you are going to see...

is one of the most expensive magazines my hands ever laid on.

Asian Banker's Journal. Priced at $31.50 per issue.

Too expensive for my eyes. Bought Q instead at $4.80. This issue hasn't been too bad. But it dawns on me how under insured I am. =(

Saw this guy wearing a pink tee, drinking some pinky juice in Starbucks and using a pink Apple lappie.

Oh so sweet~~ Bleah.

Things To Do

Bought this for myself.

Managed to find one for Gwen's upcoming birthday party.

Have to start planning my timetable later.

There are books to read and websites to explore.

And there are references for guidance.

Busy month.

Night. I shall leave you all with my favourite car in Transformer.

Used Car

Let's talk about automobiles today.

HQ showed us the new bikes the bobbies have.

Nice. But I thought they would be awfully sneaky.

This photo was provided by Anthony. Neat.

No more excuses to be late for work anymore.

A dealer gave the Hyundai Tuscani this description:

"Hyundai's Sports Model Is The Heart And "Seoul" Of Korean Budget Motoring. Looking Like A Beautiful Mix Between Ferrari's Finest And BMW 6 Series..."

Right. I don't really see how Hyundai can look like Ferrari or a beemer.

Have you heard about the Carnival?

This advert came out in the newspaper yesterday.

And they are having this 'Spare Tyre' contest. Is it demeaning or is it demeaning?

I can't believe if anyone is willing to subject himself to humilation just for S$600.

I was going towards Gerrie's place when I saw this bus came so close to this car. I thought there was an accident but when I drove past, I noticed there was a gap. About a couple cms only.

And that bus cut me and missed me only by a couple cms also.

Presenting the ah-beng bus.

Today newspaper presented the cars we can expect in this year. Some of the cars to look out for include the Fiat, Mitsubishi Lancer and Volkswagen. And it seems many cars are coming in as turbocharged.

I was looking at Classified and they had my favourite gangster car.

The 318 still remains expensive. To me.

I was exploring in a used car website and came across some cars that I like.

Which includes the Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TS.

Registered in Apr 2003. 1970 cc. Auto.

Asking price: S$59,800.

Then there's the Beemer.

BMW, 318I, Apr 1992, 1796, Auto.

Asking price: S$18,800

The car below is my favourite of the day.

Mazda MX5 Miata

Sept 1992, 1600 cc, Manual

Asking price: S$26,800

A newer MX5 1.8A, registered in Jan 2005, 1839 cc, Auto, Red is going for S$77,800.
