And so, the moment I stepped into office, Jesica reminded me of our lunch date. She got all excited and even came up with her own invitation list. She went round asking who's interested in having lunch. Some suggested places to go.
Irene: Today, your girlfriend cannot pei you go lunch. We become your girlfriends la.

Thank you, Jesica.
Thomas got really helpful, calling up restaurants to make reservations (which they do not take). Ended the two of us leaving office half an hour to walk to Raffles Place's Sushi Tei to reserve seats for 12 people.

Thank you Thomas.
Since there was so much time to spare, we did a 'lil shopping. We walked around OUB Plaza area for half an hour, looked at designer bags, cards and even watched 3 people prancing around on stage.

Gerrie would love to have this Loewe.
The crowd at Sushi Tei was horrible. Despite making the reservation 45 minutes ago, we still couldn't get any seats. Colleagues came and waited, with me chasing the captain. Ended up waiting for a total of 1 hour.
Captain: "Sorry. Actually the group at that table has finished their meal. Just that they are still chit-chatting. I wouldn't know how long they would take. But I would drop hints to tell 'em there are people waiting for the table."
Well well, hungry people are angry people. But I thought he did an excellent job.

The food was really amazing. Actually, Waraku bores me already. Somehow ST whets my appetite. Especially the sashimi. The food was overflowing to the point I almost had a plate of sashimi to myself.

We spent about 45 minutes lunching. Gosh, I had so much food that the seams of my shirt almost burst. The group spent over $300 but to our disappointment, ST does not offer any loyalty/discount card. What a letdown.

Really, I am touched by their gesture. It was such a nice surprise for 'em to throw this lunch. Especially when I haven't worked long in the company. The other time Alex left us (after over 3 years at P1L), we had pizza in office.

Gracias to those who came for this lunch. Would miss you all.
