Count Down

Short Talk:

Russell Peters hit town in October. Tickets are sold at $85 and $100 each. Read

Gracias, Carissa.

Sheng yang asked me out for lunch and I suggested Goldenshoe Carpark. The countdown has begun and I thought I would have all the food I love in Tanjong Pagar & Raffles Place area.

The Goldenshoe Carpark boasts of a two-storey high market where cheap nasi lemak and fish soup could be found. This place gets really crowded during lunch hours, wooing executives working nearby. Though it was renovated just a couple of years back, this place can get really humid. Sometimes, if you're lucky (or rather unfortunate), you get to see the ugly side of human. In order to dispose trays, some people would place it on tables that still doesn't have any food on it, regardless if anyone is sitting there or not. Then there are some people who would shove it next to you, whilst you're having your lunch. Singalanders can be so nice.

There will always be throngs of people fighting for seats. And 30 cents can reserve you a seat.

The power of tissue paper. It gets you a seat, wipes your mouth and cleans your shit.

The stall that I particularly love is this:

Today, I not only had a bowl of curry chicken mee, but I brought with me the flavour of Goldenshoe Carpark. It's as good as it gets. Be warned. Never park your car at Goldenshoe Carpark. Blardy cost me more than $5 for less than 30 minutes.

Wish I could have it together with Gerrie though. Sadly, we would never be able to lunch during working days anymore. Unless she's on her off days.

This evening, she had dinner with... well, almost the entire family. Hope she feel comfortable.
