The Start of a Brand New Journey

Throughout the weekend, I was wondering if I have made the wrong decision. As I laid on bed last night, I suddenly felt stressed, like I wasn't looking forward to Monday. I had never felt this way though for the past 8 months. In fact, I didn't even mind going back to office.

As I passed by Tanjong Pagar this morning, I said goodbye once more to the place I fondly remembered as the 'old folks home' company.

Today, I stopped at Orchard.

I was really early, an hour before the reporting time. So I treated myself to breakfast at BreadTalk. Didn't know they had increased their offerings, with pizza on their menu.

When I reached their training center, there was this group of girls standing outside. I realised there wasn't any entrance whereby you exchange your ID for the pass. Took us awhile to get into the building though.

Everything was pretty cool, the pantry was smacked right in the middle. In fact, I would have gladly regard to as a mini-cafe. I entered this room, with an estimate of 10 other new-comers. Sadly, they are from different departments. I thought I could make friends with this guy, but turned out he's from the Anti-$ launder1ng. Envy this girl though, she got a marketing position in the sales team.

After the induction program and all, I shopped at DFS for awhile, waiting for KB to pick me up. Was so glad to have a lunch buddy. Had my noodles at Peh's store. Kinda dreaded the feeling of facing the same foodcourt for the next 12 months. And I need a lunch partner so badly!!!

Weird thing was that no one seem to anticipate my coming. Am having a little trouble getting used though, with my mentor blah-ing.

No one has any idea how stressed I feel.

But all's good, I hope. A little challenge would never put me down. I have to start everything from scratch again. Even operating the phone. Kaoz. Phone too high tech for me man. So many buttons to press. Now I know why they want degree holders. Heh.

Linkage, you've got your figures wrong. There aren't 200 people on that floor. There were 500. Don't blame you though, bet you didn't see the bridge linking to the other tower. Well, I didn't.

My department are all girls, me the only guy. I fuckin' damn sian. My rep0rting manager had to ask another guy from a different department across the room to 'watch out for me'.

Dang. I so foresee myself lunching alone.

I got a little bit of problem adjusting in other areas as well. Took the train and I can't help expressing my disgust with people just slamming themselves onto the seats. Especially older men, who would just spread their legs and widen their shoulders to gain more space.

Apparently, this man doesn't mind scratching his legs in front of everyone.

He might as well scratch his balls too. Kaoz.
