Happy Moments
It has been a terribly day at work. Was rushing like mad solving all the cases and almost didn't quite make it to go home on the dot. And I didn't manage to buy anything for myself today! I planned to go on a shopping spree but Raoul had nothing for me. And I kinda like this purple shirt from Zara but no size! WTF! And I got 'The Look' when I told Gerrie that Gwen invited me to go Jakarta with her and her dad. It's not my fault mah. Plus, dinner was so quiet. Later.
But there are simple joys in life that make me happy.
I was a little early this morning and I took my time to walk from carpark to Tanjong Pagar. And I even had the luxury to stop at one of the best confectionary shop there to get my breakfast.
What bliss! I so wanted to get a packet of milk from PS (I'm a growing boy, mind you) but haven't much time left.
But guess what I found on my table?
A packet of chocolate biscuit from Jasmine. How lovely!
And when I complained I was sleepy, I got a can of coffee from Gwen. How sweet. Ooh, usually I don't take Mars. But I stole it from the tutor last night. Tasted so nice.
Besides that, I'm always looking towards lunch. And I had new lunch buddies. Gwen, Elaine and JS headed to Thai Express.
The food was nice, but the company was better. The new lunch buddies are both manager and officer and were able to give advices on the career development.
But of course, one of the best moment of today was to leave the office on time. It was nice to see Shirly and that 15 minutes of catching up was so needed.
I had a few giggles to myself while waiting for Gerrie.
This er... person (a diplomatic word) looks like my previous boss.
And the guy in the suit reminds me of a penguin. So funny. He had this pink shirt, and an organge tie!
So cartoon.
Talking about cartoons, this lady damn cute can. Think she looks better than those old ah pek security guards. Heh.
The CBD area is boring. Cartoons like this should really appear now and then to make life more intersting!
Ooh, it feels great to have money in the bank again!
And finally... meeeting Gerrie.
Her acute pain in the tummy didn't quite make the dinner pleasant though. And I didn't quite like my noodles. Don't care! The next time we go Crystal Jade again, I'm so going to have my suan la mian!
And of course, her smile at Tiffany summed up my day.
Splurged I did. Not on myself though. *sob*
