Monday No Blues

Last night, after meeting KB for some drinks, I had dinner with Gerrie at Chomp Chomp. The place, though crowded and smoky, it's quite clean. Both of us over-estimated ourselves and decided to order enough food that could last us till breakfast the following day.

The size of the sugar cane amused me. Machiam I ordered by jug. But the guy put so much ice, it doesn't justify that $3. I was so full that I felt pregnanted the moment I woke up this morning. To make things worse, I had this painful shoulder ache and also lack of sleep.

Despite all that, I wasn't going to let my Monday go all bluey. I reached Parkmall at 9, ready for a Fraud course. I had to struggle to enter the lifts. There were so many Chinese National students fighting for the lifts. But they were well-dressed and even looked damn hip that can put down any teenagers on the street. Then again, their slang spoiled it all.

The course was so interesting, going through how people cheat, how terr015ts get their fundings and we had the chance to look at fake cheques and credit cards. They looked so real that I was taken aback. All in all, I had fun despite knowing no one at all. Heh. Jasmine got so jealous I had a 2 hour lunch break. I took this chance to shop around Orchard and I got a tube of wax from FEP. To top it all, I ended 'work' at 4:30. Oh, did I ever mention I love going for courses?

Gerrie and I had dinner at Lemongrass. The servings may look small but was adaequate. Prolly because we had 4 dishes. The pineapple rice was so good. The chicken came in thick slices and was out of this world. We wanted the tom yam soup not to be too spicy. If you want it throat-burning, order the clear tom yam soup.

Right after the dinner, we watched 'Click'. Adam Sandler's move is nothing short of funny, but Click surprises me. There are new tricks up his sleeves. Dogs humping the stuff toy, him bullying his neighbour, and the excitment of forwarding his life. But it gets predictable that he misses events in his and the family's lives. The only advantage I see in having the remote control is that he was able to go back time to take note of the song when he and his then-girlfriend had their first kiss.

But Click also presented a human touch. About how he regretted not being there for his family. How he had neglected his son, his father and eventually lost his wife. Btw, his wife is rockin' hot. The part where his father touched his head and said 'I love you' did it for me. Click is a must watch this season.

And at the end of the day, Gerrie got herself a pair of shoes and a dress. I'm so going to miss her when she leaves for China. Tomorrow would be the last day of the week I'm going to see her. Oh well... Gotta hit the sack now. Have to reach office at 8 for a mini National Day celebration.
