Induction
But you see... today's not an ordinary day for the 40 odd of us. We were engaged in this induction program where newbies from all departments gathered together to make new friends. We had the usual ice-breaking session before the CEO came to talk to us. His speech was inspirational and made us feel proud of the institution.
Thereafter, we set forth for our small-scale Amazing Race. Which turned out to be utterly embarrassing for the most of us. We approached passer-bys to take photos of us with the branches, the B@nk's ATM machines, the Day & Night branches, and even AXS, SAM, Citi and ABN's machines.
Lunch was a little quiet though. We ate quickly and proceeded to Suntec branch. From there, we decided to hide ourselves in a comfy place to foster friendship.
An hour passed before we decided to head back. The haze was horrendous. Someone remarked it looks like Genting, jus that much hotter. I was thinkin' how worse it would be at Ground Zero. Anyway, because we were really early, we went to the Chill Out room, which was so much nicer than what we had at @trium.
@ 3, we went back to have our task evaluated and concurrently, helped ourselves to the tarts. It tasted soooo... good and I had 4 servings myself. 2 salmon, 1 strawberry and 1 tuna.
Our last assignment of the day was to design a collage on why we choose to work in this b@nk. We were asked to convince everyone why our collage was the best. So we went, "Our B@nk is a super b@nk. We are made up of many talented individuals. We come from different walks of life, different backgrounds, different races, different religion. We come together to work as a team. Because we know we are not superstars and we play down our ego. This makes us diverse and an truly international and w0rld class b@nk. We aim to be the leading financial institution and provide excellent services to our customers. At H58C, we are the w0rld's l0cal b@nk."
We may not have turned out to be the overall champions, but at the end of the day, we made some new friends.
So looking forward to tomorrow's course.
