Yes I'm Back!

On the day of departure, I went to her house to do some last minute packing. We dropped by her parents' store before heading to TMFT. There was nothing there, except for the tiny DFS store where we got a bottle of red and cans of beer. The mood was cheery and we chatted while the ferry brought us to Bintan.
From the terminal, we took the hotel's coach to the main lobby where we did the check-in. Minutes later, a buggy brought us to the villa. It is two-storey high, surrounded by the forest. Amidst us were other empty villas with lake view. We locked the entire place up and drew the curtains. We didn't really went through the inventory list but went straight to the showers. It was fun cooking with Gerrie and after telly, we headed to bed.
We went to the beach for awhile on the second day. Amazing view and the skies were so clear. We almost forgotten the haze issue till we watched the telly. Yes, we got to watch 5ing@p0re channels. By nightfall, the family came to join us.
Gerrie's birthday on Saturday kicked off with a jacuzzi at the pool, overlooking the sea. It was a little hazy, worsening her throat inflamation and fever condition. After our shower, the family celebrated her birthday. Aunt got her a mango cake, which had generous fillings of mango, strawberries and apples. Almost too cute. Of course, we finished it with the wine. There wasn't enough time to go to Oleh Oleh, so we shopped at the hotel lobby instead.
There was a tinge of sadness on Sunday for the both of us. It seemed that the holiday was too short. But it gave me the experience to know what living with her means. Importantly, the family got to know her better.
Monday started off slow. We went to watch World Trade Center and ended the day with a steamboat buffet. Reality hits us already before we go back to work tomorrow. We fear the emails. Sigh.
