A Blessed 2007 To All

Running on a 5-hour sleep, I went to church. It was back to basics, but the sermon was so needed.

Later, I went to Gerrie's church and settled ourselves down for a singspiration. Gerrie's friends decided to have lunch together, thus we headed to Paragon. We went to Soup Restaurant, which intially came to me as a boring place where grandmas come together to drink some herbal soups. Much to our delight, the food tasted really good, with the unusual method of consuming the chicken, wrapped in lettuce. All in all, everything was superb.

Daniel and I went up to Gerrie's place. While she was putting on her make-up, Daniel busied himself with his long-lost friend: the Internet and I made myself comfortable on the sofa. We later headed down to IMM to do some last minute grocery shopping. The idea of having to fight for trolleys still seem so absurd to me. Fortunately, I had the additional help of HQ, James, Kian Boon, Waikit and Michelle. Such shopping can be fun too!

The steamboat dinner went off well. The conversation at the table was good, even with the arrival of Serene and her friends. But the party started only after the later half of the dinner. A pity Kimmy had to leave.

We were still contemplating on what to do after dinner. After a debate, there was a consensus to continue our party at Settler's. It turned out to be horrendously fun! So glad everyone turned up, despite the earlier disagreement.

Some of us celebrated more than 12 years of friendship, some of us made new ones. It's amazing how we can all come together and have fun, like we have known each other for our entire lives!

The party subsided after our supper at the railway station. This is our 1st time holding the two parties, but it's definitely not going to be the last.

The music of the month: If You're Gonna Jump. I have been listening to it almost every morning and it gives me the energy to strive for things.

If you're gonna jump, then jump far, fly like a sky diver
If you're gonna be a singer, then u better be a rockstar
If you're gonna be a driver, then u better drive a race car

In the movie Night at the museum, despite Larry Daley's menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard, he did what he thought he could not do.

So no matter what you're doing now in life, be the best.

Have a blessed 2007 everyone!

I have just calculated my expenses in 2006. I spent a total of $22,739 in 12 months!

Guess I have to cut back on breakfasts, lunches, shopping and Blackathy. There will be additional costs this coming year... school fees, more family allowances and insurances.

Oh boy!
