The Next Two Days

I reached R.P. at about 8:15, about 45 mins earlier for my course. I had went to buy breakfast for Gerrie and myself; each a cuppa of soya and hashbrowns. It felt good seeing her early in the morning and being able to walk her to the office.

Somehow, RP gives one the power and energy. Everyone walking around there wears their staff passes which scream all the financial institutions. Even the drivers seem a whole lot haughtier. U0B has its fair share of Porsches and Ferraris, B@nk of America has its Maybach and if you stood along the road long enough, you'll realise many have their own chauffeurs and even young girls drive their beemers and minis.

Half of the morning spent was the ice-beaking and introduction to cust0mer service quality, along with breaks. It was good that I have already knew half of the group and it made lunch a whole lot easier. Finding seats at G0lden Sh0e during lunch time was almost impossible when there were 10 of us. We ended up walking to B0at Quay for Thai. It was only when I spoke to Gerrie that I realised there was an earthquake. It seemed that companies had evacuated their people for safety reasons, thus the exception huge crowd.

I felt the second earthquake though. It didn't occur to me right away, it started off as if I suddenly felt dizzy. But seriously, it would be really terrible if it had been a major one. (Read what happened in Ind0nesia.)

There are so many things I haven't do yet!!! I haven't had fondue at Fullerton, for one.

The c0urse went well, with all of us sharing our experiences about cust0mer services. It was good that the company is spending money to send us for courses. In fact, it is mandatory that we have at least 5 days of training each year. The c0urse may not directly help us, but it reminds and motivates us.

I love going for courses. Many times we seen each other in the office but had hardly the time to chat up. It was always a 'Hey dude, how's it going?" or "'Sup man". And courses give us the opportunity to gather and find time to catch up. Take Varun, for example. The last time I went out with him was at Acid Bar with HQ. He's really a cool dude, with 9 years of his life spent in Dubai, did his uni at Canada. And he's so 'Americanized'. Suddenly we seem to have lots of things to talk about when I accompanied him to have his photo taken. I can understand why girls prefer guys who are well-travelled, read alot and hold various conversations.

In any case, I'm proud to be part of the 4th largest b@nk in the world, ranked 20ish in a global branding scale.

The course ended way ahead of the stipulated time, so I went shopping for awhile with Asri and Gwen before parking myself at Starbucks. It suddenly poured so heavily but it felt so cooling. =)

And finally, after months, I had my curry chicken noodle.

Boy, am I happy!

Meeting Gerrie tonight was nice. We passed by this retail which sells really chic furniture. I had a crazy idea of snapping them up and just keep 'em in my room for future use.
