In the camera the origins of linear perspective vision have been instrumentalised.

Linear perspective vision capacitates the isolation of the viewer from the image and transforms the depth of the world, creating a spatial distance from the viewer. The imagination of looking through a window initiates an eclipse of the image's body, emphasizing the eyes as an instrument to see the world.


The camera is the technological embodiment of the linear perspective eye. The lens see the world as a landscape which concentre on the vanishing point. With the camera, the eye become fixated and focused and allows us to see how we have been viewing the world. The change in the camera positioning brings about a metamorphosis in the linear perspective. The focus on the subject puts it in a central position and as we approach the vanishing point, it becomes an object of thought.


The camera has made us all spectators of the world, which has become a spectacle and with bodies, has become specimens.
